Apples have been known as medicine since ancient times. There is a saying that an apple a day keeps you healthy, and it is not without basis. Experts have analyzed the chemical composition of this fruit tree and determined that its phytochemicals are a means against at least three types of cancer - lung, colon and liver.
They are rich in vitamins A and C, group B vitamins and riboflavin and have a high proportion of two phytochemical substances: pectin, which facilitates intestinal peristalsis and reduces sugar absorption, but also boron, which protects the health of bones and the nervous system. Thanks to its composition, apples have detoxifying, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect, lowers blood cholesterol and stimulates liver function. Carrots have antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-tumor effects, protect the arteries and act as an expectorant, facilitating the excretion of secretions from the lungs. The antioxidant effect of carrots comes from carotenoids, which reduce the risk of developing tumors, protect against diseases of the heart and vascular system, and in addition stimulate mental functions. An important ingredient of this drink is beetroot, which has antibacterial, antioxidant and laxative effects. It is rich in vitamin A and betaine - an enzyme that nourishes and strengthens the liver and bile. In addition, beetroot is an excellent source of potassium and acts as a liver, kidney and bile cleanser.
Preparation: Put cooked beets, fresh carrots and apples in a blender and mix until you get a uniform mixture. You can add a little water, vegetable milk or ice cubes if it is too warm.
